Do you believe in immortality of humans?

I was surfing on Internet and a saw a post in a site (here in Brazil), and the body of post is this:

"Immortality is much persecuted and mainly seen in works of fiction, but a scientist in his moment of futurist said that within 20 years, humans could become immortal, because the advances in nanotechnology will enable the replacement of vital organs .

We can live forever? According to the scientist Ray Kurzweil, yes, and although the idea seems completely bizarre, he said it is not surprising, since the knowledge that the world has with regard to genetics and nanotechnology is moving so quickly that in 20 years his prediction be a reality.

"The artificial pancreas and neural implants are already available," he said. So, if we continue to evolve in the same direction, probably to create a heart or a liver for use in transplants. Kurzweil is not alone in his theory, many of his colleagues think this way. "There will come a time when the nanobots will replace the blood cells and do their work" more effectively. He added that we are like super athletes, write books in minutes and even dive without oxygen."

Now, I have a big question.
The nanotechnology have the power of make this history real?

I don't believe nanotechnology or any other kind of computer technology will ever be able to subsitute for the almost infinitely complex machinery of the humain brains ... even though, rationally speaking, I can't totally exclude it. However, if such a fact were possible, then maybe at that time it will be necessary to rethink the term "human".

nanotechnology is advanced, but i donnot think it will replace the real feeling of human. just like the robots, mang years ago ,we always heard that it might reduce the function of people in working, but what i see is that most of the work has been done by human instead of robots. if we could live forever, were there any real thing? without pain, life will be boring to some extent.

But do you believe in the incredible progress of nanotechnology for our life?

Oh yeah ... nanotechnology and microscopic computer systems will probably substitute for vaccines, correct genetic deficiencies, etc ... but I just don't consider they'll go so far as to make humans immortal (otherwise maybe what we call humans will actually become just computers or robots themselves).

If you believe that humans are immortal then. Why did Jesus have to be a ransom for Adam? Yes, their souls do. And Jesus had to be a ransom
