My boss installed staff monitoring software on my personal computer. I don't know if this is even legal, but I found the program and am wondering if I can remove it in add/remove programs and that will do it???

what is the software called? pm me more details and I will find a way around it if you wish and if this personal computer is not on rent to you from the company (i.e if you bought this system with your own money) then it is illegal and you can report it to IC3. |

If it is company equipment you shouldn't remove it. If it is your own and you have the administrator account then yes you can remove it. You don't have to necessarily uninstall it, you could just stop it from starting. If you are in windows go to run (window key + r) and enter msconfig and go to the Startup tab and Services tab and uncheck them from loading when your computer boots. Or Mac go to system preferences and then users and then next to your admin account go to login items and uncheck it. |
