laser mouse cursor problem

i have a small laser mouse. its arrow always keep moving and can not stay at a point. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please, do just a test.

Put the mouse on a white paper.
(To see if the problem is really in the mouse.)

Great advice by the previous poster ... quite often the problem is due to the surface over which your are using your optical mouse ...

Yes, I like the paper test. That works great. If not, mice are pretty cheap these days, and you could probably buy a better one! Wireless ones seem to be the trend right now.

There can be many reasons.First check connections,check for dust on laser mouse sensors,check for a virus or hijacking. If it still does not work properly, then go for repairing or you can buy a new mouse at a cheaper price.

Optical mouse always create some problems when you doesn't use a proper surface for them to move.
