Dell Inspiron 1520 Wont Boot

I recently did a virus scan, and I found 6 infected files. So I deleted the infected files and my computer restarted without notice and now have a message saying we are sorry for the inconvienience, but windows did not start sucsessfully. I've tried booting in safe mode, and all of them. When I try in start windows normally, it goes to the windows loading page, like normal and then goes to a black screen and wont go anywherr. Just a black screen. It is still on because the power light is on and the screen is lit up a little biit. Please help me

Best thing to do is a clean software install. Drop you Windows Restore CD into the CD drive, restart your computer, format your hard drive and do a clean install.
