How does your boss spy on your computer activity? software?

I work at company XYZ, I just visited myspace website, 10 minutes later I get a phone call from my boss, ( who is in another city ) asking me why am I on that website and not doing work. My question is How did he know? what kind of software or spyware does this? I am starting to assemble a network of 100 pcs fpr another company and I would like to implement the same structure of network control.

is there a scanner for spy as such? thanks again!

However please be aware of the fact that such a monitoring of computer activity must be disclosed beforehand in your work contract (otherwise it is entirely illegal and constitutes a violation of privacy).
There exist a lot of trojans / keyloggers that enable you to spy computers (it is even possible that a keylogger be written in a customized way in order to avoid malware detection). Never handle sensivitive data on your computer at work ...

In all honesty, program your own
but if not...try "cerberus" I am told it is called...it is used by alot of hackers and professionals, it will allow you to see EVERYTHING they do and even look through any connected webcams and let you take full control if needed without their choice.
just be sure ot give full disclosure

Your boss is currently using monitoring software. This can mean either a key-logging program, or infact a RAT (Remote Access Trojan). Most, if not all companies have these in place to stop or prevent members of staff from doing things they maybe shouldn't be doing. I'd imagine by now he probably has all of your passwords, visited websites, IM chat messages.. And pretty much everything else you have typed into your keyboard. My advice would to be do your work whilst at work, and keep everything else (like chat, etc) until you get home. As i say, this is common practice for most companies nowadays.
