DNS Server Problem

I am using One local DNS Server for LAN user for accessing internet.Nowthe problem is when I put a new IP in the
server it works fine with Windows machine, but the same ip fails to work with Linux machine.I amm using Class C ip address witth mask 255.255.255.194.Previously added IP address in the server working with Linux machine .Please help me to resolve the problem......

I also got a similar kind of DNS server problem a week ago and i was not able to resolve my self but a friend of mine told to take the help of iYogi.net Technicians. They took remote acess of my computer and resolved my problem step by step.

The problem can be with your site, maybe it is not supporting the server. Though I don't have much knowledge about this.

Hello,
Yea I didn;t really find anything on how to bridge the modem either. Perhaps you can ask your ISP if they can do it for you, because from what I've read it seems they're the only ones who are allowed to do so. It would also be good to inform them that you are trying to change your default dns servers.

Hopefully you won't have to manually change the dns servers on each device one at a time, but that might be the only option if they can't get it working.Thanks
