Re: Introduce yourself!

2 years since I graduated from IT
I programmed a simple game using PHP/javascript a year ago

And since then I have stopped.
Alot of stuffs had happened in real life, i want to get to the league again and brush up some of the basics
then I will pursue the advance stuff when i get used to it again

I am also hoping to learn more programming languages, skills and etc
Its been quite a while so back to basics for me hehehe

Oh other stuffs I like, umm games LOL, playing guitar but its off-topic hehehe

Re: Introduce yourself!

I am a begineer to programming also (I know little bit about C++). I hope me and you will learn helpful stuff in this forum.

I like video games, too (especially computer online gaming). I like StarCraft BroodWar (but new edition of the game will come out around this fall), and I also like playing guitar, too. I play heavy metal stuff with my electric guitar -- how about you?

Re: Introduce yourself!

It's good you're starting young... It's easier to corrupt you that way

Anyway, I kind of wish I had been better introduced to these sorts of things at a younger age, it would have been good to have a better intuitive understanding of CS concepts when I was starting to learn it formally.

Welcome! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Cheers,
Cory

Welcome to mycomputerforum.com! I also enjoy computers and mathematics too, and I am also continuing my C++ education from today as well.

If you don't have a Playstation system, then do you have a XBOX? I think you can play Guitar Hero on XBOX, too. I've played Guitar Hero before (not the GH3, but the earlier version of it), but it's playing experience is not 100% similar to actually playing a real guitar.

Don't be silly, I can see from your profile picture that you're a cat with some kind of a citrus fruit for a hat.

Re: Introduce yourself!

This place seems fairly dead =/

Hiya guys, I'm Miri (Internet alias). I'm a teenager, not surprisingly, and student of MIT hoping to major in EECS. My two loves in life are technology and fine arts, so when I first heard about this forum my initial thoughts were, "YES. Finally a place where I can have intellectually stimulating discussion about computing." Hopefully it gets more active around here.

Yeah, there aren't too many of us... Rather sad, in fact.

Re: Introduce yourself!

Welcome!

Is Java the only language you know, or just your favorite? What are your specialties in CS?
