Best netbooks: Asus or Samsung ?

In addition to changing my laptop, I plan to purchase a netbook (it's easier to work with on the train  ); I've compared the different brands available, and it seems that the two netbooks brands which receive the most positive feedback are Asus and Samsung; in particular, the Asus Eee PC 901 ahs overwhelmingly positive comments but I find its keyboard very crappy (as compared with Samsung models, for instance the Samsung N130, etc ...). Another problem I consider is that most netbooks are sold with Windows 7 starter and the feedback for the started version is not that great -most people say that it's not functional enough-. Could anyone already owning a Samsung or an Asus please give me some feedback ?

I was not aware of the msi wind series, thanks for the insight; what i finally did was to buy a Compaq C61 (2.2 GHz, 300GB, 3Go RAM) for 299 euro). Overall, quite cheap and strong performance (i'm not a gamer so I guess that I don't need a very high-end laptop).

If I were to choose between those two laptops, I would go for Asus because the eee pc is also the battery life better on the market, it can last up to 9.5 hours on one battery charge.

Oh my ... eventually I didn't purchase a Netbook but my company is going to give me one (it will be a Toshiba though). That'll come handy since I'm on the road all the time.
9 hours + battery is just amazing (I guess it's when you make a very light use of your netbook, but still amazing)

Yes I agree with you that a netbook is the best option if you want to use it while travelling in a train. It is very light and gives much longer battery backup compared to a notebook. I have been using a netbook myself and I have found it very useful. I think both teh Asus and Samsung netbooks are good ones. Whichever the brand you should look at the internal features like Operating system etc. Always buy an Intel Atom processor based netbook if you want reliability and performance.
