Have you tried uninstalling the lime wire software ? Maybe you downloaded a copy of the file containing a virus inside, or maybe it's conflicting with other programs on your computer ...

Uninstalling the LimeWire and reinstalling it could help. Also, make sure your hardware has good enough space to handle such memory, and make sure that CPU is efficient enough to handle such memory.

The problem with anti-virus software is that anti-virus programs can only detect well-known malware, that is to say if the malware / computer virus was spread only locally then unless your antivirus program is set to work on heuristic mode it won't be able to detect the malignant activity.

I have a thread as evidence of juliens point.
Also if you are interested....There are ways to make even the most common and "easily caught" malwares completely FUD(fully undetectable by anti-malwares e.t.c)

probably a virus, limewire is unsafe... use www.4shared.com

Limewire opens doors to your computer security and privacy. If I were personally in your shoes, i'd uninstall Limewire completely. These sorts of programs make it so easy for an attacker to access your computer as all P2P / Bit Torrent users are all using the same network. Because of this, 'target' computers are easily found and attacked. Obviously, firewall and anti-virus software should always be installed and running. The best combo I found was ESET NOD32 anti-virus, along-side my Default Firewall on Windows 7 Pro. This combo is only used on my Personal Computer, and is not used for our work computers.
