Javascript to CSS code

I just realized that you cannot click on these pictures when the Firefox add-on “NoScript” has been activated. Normally a kind of pop-up will open up where the lightbox is. I am guessing that works with javascript- Could that be the case? How would it be possible to achieve this with CSS, so that even users whose javascript is not activated could use “View Larger”?

If you want to achieve some kind of interaction client-side, you will need some sort of client-side scripting. The most used client-side scripting language being Javascript, chances are if you cannot reach your users via Javascript you won't be able to reach them via any other scripting language anyway ...
