I found a sheet listing a bunch of different web hosts. Which out of these 10 providers on the list would you say is best? It was very strange to see Yahoo at the bottom of that list. Why do you think that is? Normally, I would have used Yahoo, because I am already pretty familiar with that platform. So if you needed to host your personal website, what provider would you choose?

Hello, a long time ago I used to be with Yahoo hosting. While their uptime is very good and suitable for static websites, I wouldn't recommend them for dynamic websites because they don't offer any technical contriol over your shared hosting account (understand: if you're trying to build a forum there, don't bother for too long, there are plenty of thing that you won't be able to do).
Try Asmallorange instead, they've proved very good to me so far ...
